Since our own daily problems appear to be so immediate, we tend to forget that Israel is fighting on at least two more fronts:
09:19 IDF soldier killed in gunfight with Palestinian militants in Nablus (Haaretz) 08:32 Two Qassam rockets land in Ashkelon; no casualties or damage reported (Channel 10) 08:07 One IDF soldier lightly injured in fighting in northern Gaza Strip (Israel Radio) 07:20 Two people lightly wounded by sharpnel in Qassam hits on Sderot (Haaretz)
Ten minutes ago we saw our neighbors leave with both their cars. I do not suppose that they are leaving for work, or for a trip to the North, so I guess that they are going south, to family or friends. We will stay as long as possible. Our security room is quite comfortable, and we do not want to leave our home. Just now my wife is ordering enough groceries for a week or more, via an online delivery service. The fact that they are working anyway and that they charge us quite handsomely for their service slightly my conscience, although I do not feel entirely comfortable with this.
