Interesting to see that the British Conservative Party is becoming increasingly popular among the country's Muslim population. Nothing wrong with that. I saw an interview on the BBC with Sayeeda Warsi, Vice Chair(wo)man of the party and a British Muslim herself. Stephen Sackur gave her a hard time, but she appears convinced and quite convincing, well-spoken and sympathetic. Still, Melanie Phillips has her doubts about this courtship, and also about the way in which party leader David Cameron tries to capitalize on the anti-Americanism in the UK ( and in the rest of Europe ).
