Paris's many beautiful parks are only one of the city's features that I love. My family and I spent many hours in those parks ( and in the parks in the lovely Paris suburb - congratulations to its mayor, who was reelected this year - where we lived ). Yesterday Paris mayor Bertrand Delanoe opened the Jardin Anne-Frank. Located in the Marais, the garden contains a shoot from the chestnut tree that inspired the young girl while she was hiding in the attic in Amsterdam. The tree itself is seriously ill, an official permit has been granted to fell it.
