Yesterday it was four years ago that Theo van Gogh was murdered by a Muslim fanatic. Tomorrow will be the thirteenth anniversary of the murder, by a Jewish fanatic, of Yitzhak Rabin. In both cases I remember exactly where I was when I heard about the murders. On the evening of November 4th 1995 I was in Ganey Tikvah, near Tel Aviv, with my wife's aunt and uncle. On the morning of November 2nd 2004, the second birthday of our son, I was working at home.
