Prejudice + Prophecy

Avigdor Lieberman is just one example of how Israel often can only blame itself for the bad press that the country gets. Joep Bertrams made this cartoon a few weeks before Avigdor Lieberman officially became Minister of Foreign Affairs ( for the time being: the corruption investigation against him seems to have been thrown into high gear; one might cynically ask how much damage he can do before he will be forced to resign), but the new minister's opening volley 'proved' that sometimes prejudice and prophecy appear to be closely linked. With such an awkward start and such low expectations, maybe in the end we can only be positively surprised with this successor to Tizipi Livni ( who in my opinion was one of the more pleasant surprises that emanated from Kadimah ).
