Demjanjuk

A Dutch-Jewish blogger, Rob Fransman, whose parents - Isaac Fransman ( 1898 - 6 April 1943 ) and Rachel van Lochem ( 1900 - 6 April 1943 )(*), may their memory be a blessing - were murdered in Sobibor, is one of the 30 (**) so-called Nebenklaeger ( additional plaintiffs ) in the process against John Demjanjuk, which will start on 1 December. Although he was on a long blogbreak, he started writing again, to tell about his motivations to join the group of plaintiffs, his thoughts and experiences during the process. He will blog in Dutch. I asked him, by mail, if he knows whether other participants might be blogging in English or German. If so, I will provide links to those blogs here. (*) They died one month after my wife's maternal grandfather, Jacob Rozenblum z"l, was sent from Drancy to his death in another extermination camp in Poland, Maidanek. Here ( 30 october 2006 ) you find a link to more details about that. (**) 21 of them are Dutch: two survivors, and 19 children of men and women who were murdered in Sobibor.
