Friedman ( thanks, Fransman )

Thank you, Rob, for sending me this excellent article, written by Thomas Friedman. Friedman - whose intentions are always kosher as far as Israel is concerned as far as I know, and who always manages to explain very clearly how American, Israeli, European, Western, and democratic interests converge - points out perfectly well who is at fault in the current - latest - crisis in the relationship between two countries that should be each other's closest, loyal and most trustworthy allies, if only both countries were led exclusively by their true and logical interests. The bottom (and final) line of the article: "The Israeli leader needs to make up his mind whether he wants to make history or once again be a footnote to it."
