Remember, and...Good Luck!
(Photo and text found on the Facebook page of Israel's amazing President, Shimon Peres)
"The Olympic Games begin tonight, a month and a half of praise for the human body and the human spirit. Our athletes, who I met prior to their departure for London, are motivated and dedicated to bring to Israel the greatest honor in the world of sport, an Olympic gold medal. They are our best ambassadors.
Tonight with the opening of the Olympic games we will all remember our athletes who were murdered by terrorists forty years ago. I am saddened by the decision of the International Olympic Committee not to remember them at the opening ceremony. The 11 victims from the Munich Olympics are the sporting spirit which was attacked by human evil. We must never forget them.
I wish our 38 incredible athletes luck, courage and, of course, that their dreams be fulfilled. Shabbat Shalom."
