Remember, 70 Years Ago

Seventy years ago, on 2 August 1944, the Nazis liquidated the 'Zigeunerlager' in Auschwitz, murdering 3,000 Roma and Sinti men, women, and children. Aug. 2 has become the official Memorial Day of the Porajmos, the brutal murder of hundreds of thousands of Roma and Sinti during World War II, in Auschwitz, Belzec, Treblinka and elsewhere in Europe.
